KGHM is one of the largest producers of copper and silver in the world currently invested in the Robinson Mine ( Nevada) is a world leader in the extraction and processing of valuable metals. Formerly known as the Polish State Mining and Metallurgical Combine, KGHM boasts a geographically diversified portfolio of mining projects with facilities on three continents – Europe, North and South America. Polish copper deposits – one of the biggest in the world- are located in 3 underground mines: "Lubin”, "Polkowice-Sieroszowice” and "Rudna”. Abroad, KGHM owns six mines: Robinson, Carlota (USA), McCreedy West, Morrison (Canada) and Franke and Sierra Gorda (Chile). Apart from copper, these mines also produce molybdenum, nickel, gold, palladium and platinum.

POLSKA GRUPA GÓRNICZA (PREVIOUSLY NAMED KOMPANIA WĘGLOWA) The mining areas of Kompania Węglowa S.A mines are located in 42 communes of the Silesia province and 3 communes of the Małopolskie province and employ 60 000 workers. The area of mining activity covers 603 square km, and the mining areas cover 665 square km.

JASTRZĘBSKA SPÓŁKA WĘGLOWA JSW is composed of five mines producing coking coal and steam coal and employs 30 000 workers. 9.9M metric tons of coking coal (including 7.5M tons of coking coal type 35) and 4.0M tons of coal for energy purposes were excavated in the mines of JSW S.A. in 2014. Coking plants belonging to JSW S.A. produced 4.0M tons of coke in 2014.

JSW S.A.’s mines have approx. 2.2B tons of documented coal resources (according to JORC), including approx. 0.6 billion tons of recoverable reserves. The Group intends to enlarge its recoverable resource base to maintain a strong position in international markets over the next 60 years.
